Three of Actronika’s projects caught the attention of the European Commission’s Innovation Radar

July 20, 2020
The Innovation Radar is a European Commission initiative to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation framework programmes.

Three of Actronika’s projects funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020 (two ph-coding projects & a H-Reality project) have been analysed by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar:

  1. “Method for generating tactile sensations localized on a surface and haptic interfaces such that different tactile sensations are experienced simultaneously in different regions of the surface.” > details
  2. “Low form-factor modular haptic actuator based on a multipole magnetic arrangement.” > details
  3. “Design of a minimal haptic interface for the propagation of mechanical signals.” > details

Details of these innovations, and how they were categorised by the analysis, are as follows:

  • Innovation Title: Method for generating tactile sensations localized on a surface and haptic interfaces such that different tactile sensations are experienced simultaneously in different regions of the surface.
  • Market Maturity of the Innovation: ‘Business Ready’.
  • Market Creation Potential of the innovation: Very high.
  • Innovation Title: Low form-factor modular haptic actuator based on a multipole magnetic arrangement.
  • Market Maturity of the Innovation: ‘Business Ready’.
  • Market Creation Potential of the innovation: Very high.
  • Innovation Title: Design of a minimal haptic interface for the propagation of mechanical signals.
  • Market Maturity of the Innovation: ‘Exploring’.
  • Market Creation Potential of the innovation: Noteworthy.
